About Susan

HOLISTIC HEALTH AND WELLNESS PROFESSIONAL Susan Goldwag Photo

My Training:

I graduated from University of California Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. I was always fascinated with the human body and so I received a Massage Practitioner Certification from Cypress Health Institute in California. I also became certified in Reiki and worked with clients integrating swedish massage, polarity, and Reiki. I wanted to deepen my knowledge of health and nutrition, so I studied further and obtained a Comprehensive Nutrition Diploma from the American Academy of Nutrition. I guess I couldn't get enough, so I went for further study and completed my Doctor of Naturopathy and Master of Science in Natural Health from Clayton College of Natural Health. I practice traditional naturopathy. I do not practice naturopathic medicine that uses prescription drugs, invasive procedures, and allopathic treatments.

Perhaps someday, I will go on to pursue my Ph.D! But, I think I've had enough mental stimulation for now.

My Professional Background:Rock's Photo

I have always worked in a corporate setting ever since my full time job out of college, so I am well aware of the stress and pressures workers undergo. My background is actually in marketing communications, web and graphic design, and I have worked in a multi-industry capacity from vitamin supplements, nutritional raw materials, software, disaster cleanup, and forensic engineering. Quite an interesting combination.

My Goals:

My passion is really about helping other people with education when it comes to health, nutrition and skin care products. I really love teaching "newbies" how to incorporate a healthier lifestyle into their existing one. The benefits of incorporating small changes in one's life, far outweigh the reasons not to. Avoiding it because you think it's too hard or takes too much time might be realities sometimes, but the truth is, learning and incorporating optimal nutrition and health is really very basic...start small and keep it simple. People that just need a nudge in the right direction and don't know where to start are who I love to help.
